GOLD AND GREEN RACING CLUB

THE GOLD AND GREEN MISSION

We will deliver a world-class, positive and memorable experience to our members, maximising their feeling of being part of something very special, and not just a number.

The well-being of our horses will always be the primary focus, both whilst in our care and beyond. 

We will give back to racing via donating prize money to charities linked to racing, and support young jockeys and ambitious trainers with smaller strings wherever possible. 

By listening closely to our trainers and members, and embracing the very best in technology, we will continue to build our community for the betterment of the sport we all love.

Gold and Green Racing Club was born almost 10 years and over 35 winners ago.

Following a varied and successful career, spanning hospitality management, IT sales, business consultancy and crowd funding, I recognised a failing in UK horse racing in the provision of a community centred racing club, or syndicate. I was convinced it could be done better, we are striving to lead the way on that quest. Originally launched as Crowd Racing, following the need to change due to Covid, The Gold and Green Racing Club took prominence.

Some fun facts about The Gold and Green Crowd racing journey

  • BORN TO FINISH won 10 races for us, after not looking like winning one at all for his first 13 runs.
  • THE GOLD AND GREEN RACING CLUB was added to CROWD RACING at the very start of the first COVID lockdown.
  • We have had over 200 runners and more than 30 winners, and countless placed horses
  • Our first ever runner was ACOM in March 2015
  • The cheapest horse we bought is our highest rated winner, the most expensive we bought, didn't win a race!
  • Over 600 members have received owners and trainers badges
  • Members have watched our runners at Ascot, Newbury, Sandown, Epsom, Doncaster, Haydock and many, many other top UK racecourses.
  • Our colours were inspired by those carried by Derby winning legend Authorized.
  • We have had involvement in horses with over 20 different stables, right across the UK.
  • Our dream is to win the Coral Eclipse, Northumberland Plate or the Champion Hurdle.

MULTI-HORSE RACE CLUBS ARE THE FUTURE OF RACEHORSE OWNERSHIP.

The landscape for UK racehorse ownership is changing.

A number of the long-term, larger owners with huge strings of horses are downsizing or have left the sport, and need for fresh blood is essential.

There is a real need to make the sport, and specifically the experience of being involved on the ownership side of thing, more appealing to a new, fresh market.

The Gold and Green Crowd is striving to ensure we are at the forefront of this drive, and by delivering a totally immersive experience that will allow more and more people to enjoy the joys that being involved gives.

We are a genuine community

More members leads to more horses, and more runners, therefore more chances to have winners. If one horse needs a break, or is struggling for form, the others can step in and keep the involvement going strong.

Real engagement & involvement

More horses and more runners can only help the profile of the trainers. Racing is very focussed on the "big boys". Via our app and social media the profile of the trainers we work with and the Crowd will get the coverage it deserves

More runners, more excitement

With smaller sole owners, trainers are always running the gauntlet of unpaid bills, or vanishing owners, but with a crowd of owners, the risk is reduced and the enjoyment rises.

We believe in complete transparency in everything we do.
